Ivory Simmons, LCMHCA
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). As a Winston-Salem State University alum, I earned my Bachelors along with my Masters at WSSU. A B.S. in Rehabilitation and Human Services and M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling.
I have experience working with a variety of individuals including children, adolescents, and adults. I assist clients with depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, stress, life transitions, and more. I aim to help clients develop positive coping skills, improve self-love, find their inner voice, and develop a toolkit to use as needed. I believe in taking an integrated approach to therapy. I base my approach on a quote from H. Jackson Brown, Jr.- "Life is slippery. Here, take my hand."
I am a local to the greater triad area. My hobbies include listening to live music, shopping/thrifting, spending quality time, caring for my plants, and giving back to the community.
