Emil Eichelberger, LCSWA

I like to take an individualized approach to create a safe and supportive environment for clients. Using the social work approaches of meeting the client where they are and prioritizing methods for clients to feel empowered, I take care in ensuring that my clients feel validated and heard. I have experience working with a variety of issues and disorders including mood disorders, personality disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, trauma-related disorders, issues surrounding grief and loss, and coping with major life transitions.

One of my more focused specialties is working with the LGBTQIA2S+ community to provide services that are both comprehensive and intersectional in their consideration of identity development and understanding of the unique challenges and struggles faced by members of the community. Some of my modalities include DBT, CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centered therapy approaches, feminist therapy, narrative therapy, and gender therapy.

I also have the ability to assist transgender and non-binary individuals in obtaining letters of recommendations for medical gender transition interventions such as hormone replacement therapy and gender affirmation surgery.
